Name designs and patterns

This is one of the first projects I do with my second grade classes of the year. We discuss the element of art LINE. Then we name different kinds of lines and also how to turn lines into designs and patterns.

I have done this project in many variations. Oil pastels, markers, construction paper. I got the idea to use the black strips from another blog.
