Birds of Color

I found this lesson from a teacher on Pinterest. My first graders learned the primary and secondary colors and turned them into birds.

Patterned Spirals

Students used oil pastels to create lines, patterns, and designs. Students also experimented with blending colors together. The glitter is a nice touch to this project. Even the ones that were quite messy looked good after glitter was applied.
